In the context of the proper operation of the car and the achievement of passenger safety it is necessary to carry out predetermined actions starting from the control, alignment, balancing and finally the selection of the appropriate tyre.
Two of the most common causes of wheel damage are loss of alignment and balancing. These are two completely different problems, but they need to be fixed immediately. Alignment is needed when the axles lose their convergence so that the wheels are not aligned with each other. Simply put, if while driving you notice that by keeping the steering wheel straight the car instead of going straight turns either right or left, then you need to align. Neglected causes uneven tyre wear and can lead to costly steering damage in the long run.
The wheels need to be balanced when the driver feels trembling and vibration in the steering wheel while the car is moving. The problem is created by the uneven distribution of mass inside a tyre. That is why lead counterweights are placed inside the rim. There are two types of imbalance, static and dynamic. The point is to know that the first causes the tyre to roll abnormally and the second causes the wheel to vibrate sideways and vibrate strongly. Both the balancing and the alignment of the wheels are done only in vulcanizers or workshops that have the appropriate equipment. Also, the balancing is done at each change of tyres or wheels.
